Billing is a good venue - easily accessible and plenty of room.
Ideal for car shows/rallies and the like . . . unfortunately when the weather's bad, the weather's bad.
There's nothing anyone could do to solve it or prevent it.
And as I said earlier - I've been going to Billing for god knows how many years and this year really was a one-off.
Judging by the pictures it was by far the worst I've seen it in June, ever.
I'm aware that Rocky's comment has been quoted elsewhere but think the response of
"You could possibly get off your Ass & give it a go yourself mate." was a tad harsh - especially given that Rocky is a regular and knowledgable contributor to that forum as well.
I think Rocky was referring to shows in general - not necessarily that show and organiser.
Indoor shows
do have their place in "the scene" but are rare, it seems, these days.
I remember going with my brother to several when I was a kid but you don't really get them, now.
Possibly down to H&S ? - I know having vehicles indoors is a PITA as many venues will have strict rules to adhere to so all cars will need to be pre-entered and checked before they can be displayed.
No where near as convienient as just driving there, paying at the gate and dumping your car anywhere.
It's a shame as the odd indoor show used to help break-up gloomy winters . . . .
