We all know that Chrysler is dead and FIAT will just strip out what assets they can, so that the US government can walk away and blame FIAT
Found this google map showing the location of the 789 Chrysler dealers shut down on Wednesday

I even made the press......

Tator specializes in Viper maintenance and repair, and he has earned a following both in the Lower Hudson Valley and overseas.

This week, Tator has been hosting a friend from England, Barry Adams, an engineer with Virgin Media and a member of a United Kingdom chapter of Viper owners.

"Adams said club members consult via the Internet with Tator on mechanical issues affecting their cars, and two years ago Tator went to England to help one customer install a new engine.

Adams, 34, invited Tator to his wedding.

"It's hard to put in words what he's got," Adams said"

damn that sucks, though it does show what happens if you dont build the cars people are buying, as opposed to the ones they want..they are often two different things

It's not quite that simple although Chryslers quality is the worst of the big 3.

Toyota's losses in the last quarter were double that of GM, even with their supposed reliable and green small car range.

However they have huge cash reserves and the Japanese government will cough up cash anyway.

Overall Ford seem to be plodding along relatively well, considering.

The death list makes no sence at all....

While in NY we had dinner with 2 other big dealers..

One has just spent $3m dollars on doing up his showrooms does 400 + cars a year and $100k in parts a month 125 cars on the forecort and he is being closed..

The dealers own everything and are not getting a penny or the stock taken off them...
