It's Finally Finished!
« on: March 26, 2009, 09:59:05 pm »

My own personal little tribute to not only probably the best game I've ever played but also the entire reason i'm talking to you guys here now because without Motor City Online chances are I would never have got interested in good 'ol Yank V8s
I played this game from initial beta testing right through until the second they turned the servers off on Aug 29th 2003, made some great friends (& more since!) but this car, my favourite one in the whole game, I owned for 99.9% of that time.
Its taken me nearly 6 years to finish this kit, because its sat 1/2 finished for most of that time since Sept 03, but finally its done & in a display case

The Model is based on this:

So here it is, I tip my hat to you MCO, a game that holds a special place in my memory:

BTW, this kit is supposed to be a hardtop

The Blower assembly & sidepipes are from other kits  & before anyone pipes up that the Rad is on the wrong side of the front bulkhead it had to go there for Fan clearance

Blue

Its Purple!!  Its actually a Porsche colour I printed off the model skin file from the game & took it to Halfords & just said "Match That" & it was the closest they could come up with.

Uber, uber, uber cool.

I'd happily say that's the best model I've ever seen - especially taking into consideration all the custom mods done (btw, well done for leaving OFF the rear spoiler).

It looks excellent.  Bravo, hats off and all that.

That is a perfectly normal modification in "real life" - in fact it's likely to be done to my '58 so I can hide an electric puller fan inside the bounds of the bulkhead.

The next project is to turn this:

into this:

Note custom bits:
Fekkin huge 1:12 scale Drag slicks (the slicks that come with the kit are there for comparison) & a nice lumpy cowl hood [img]http://www.mkb.cc/forum/smileys/cool.gif" alt="" border="0" onload="NcodeImageResizer.createOn(this);" class="bbc_img" />
