In the Summer, Yeah.

It's when salt and water get to 'em - then they'll start looking a bit rough.

Also you do apparently have to clean 'em or something every now and then.

problem with shiny wheels is there is no easy answer...

bare ally tarnishes real quick, and in winter corrodes easily

chrome falls off if someone walks past with a bag of salty chips

clearcoated ally is the toughest shiny finish, but if corrosion begins under the clearcoat they look horrible very quickly.. (it will after a good winter, all it takes is 1 nick in the coating)

the only other options are to keep your old wheels, and switch them in spring / autumn, or to take the car off the road in the salt season..

unfortunaley, bling requires fastidious maintainance, neglect it, and its scrap..

I can't decide which I prefer yet, although I am starting to lean towards the 1st one.

personaly they are a little too modern for your 2nd gen mate, a muscle car type would look better maybe a crager or a blasted ali finish like on the mustang fastbacks

They'd look really good on my Camaro wheels too, secure too as no bugger will have a socket to get em off!
