This is the sort of thing I'd need if I wanted to remove my Air Con but keep my Heater isn't it??

Last summer was fine TBH, I normally have the windows open anyway to hear the car so I wasn;t that worried about the Air-con, even if it had have worked I doubt I would have been using it.

I might spend £20 having it charged though, just to tset it, then I can sell bits of it on eBay as working, otherwise I won't know.

Still undecided yet as to whether it will be removed, but atm I can't see me using it.

Don't reckon they'd let me borrow the Gas for 5 mins... they could discharge it straight back again as I'd want the system empty anyway...

aah ok, I didn't know these things...

I'm assuming the system won't be pressurised in any way if the air con is inoperative...

wouldn;t want any accidents when undoing things...

had the astro done and its icy cold..

dont personaly understand removing it - when its turned off its just and idler pully, and draws NO power at all, when its on, the car is sooooo much more comfortable, and when you come to sell it, its always going to be that little more bit desirable if its present and working..

sure it weighs 30 lbs, but in a 3600 lb car, its a drop in the ocean. it wouldn't improve the car to remove it.

TBH I'm probably going to get mine charged 1st & see if it works...

I asked the guy about shipping & he said he'd ship it to andy's place in cali but not internationally.

I haven't ruled out buying it & just keeping hold of it, as you've just proved if I don;t use it it's not hard to find someone who wants something like that

Yeah, I thought that was quite a subtle hint.

Gonna be doing a Ebay sale of bits myself to raise funds for the Caddy soon . . . so I'll be needing that.

Highly unlikely.  The bulk head is different I think.

A Few Caddy bits I brought which will be redundant if Andy is supplying the parts . . . eg. Pistons.
Possibly a Facet leccy fuel pump, too and some other bits . . . I'll try flogging the original 3rd gen valve covers too.
