Flexible exhaust pipe . . . .
« on: February 25, 2008, 04:14:02 pm »
As some of you will know the Eldo's exhaust has recently had a close brush with death.

Now it's barely hanging together.

The rear section looks like someone has fired a couple of shotgun shells into it and then battered it with a pickaxe !

So I'm proposing to do a quick and cheap repair from just after the axle up to the last box (which is also the tailpipe).

So I'm thinking flexible exhaust pipe (needs to be 57mm internal diameter).

Mild steel is fine, S/S would be overkill.

So far I've had a quote for £60 including delivery and jetex only sell 500mm sections I need up to 1,200mm in one piece.

Anyone know someone ?

I used to get all my exhaust pipes from a truck parts place in Dawson Road, Mount Farm.  Can't remember what they were called now
