Projects / Hypothetical question
« on: November 05, 2005, 03:55:26 pm »
Would the barn (or anyone know of anywhere else) be able to hold a 2nd Gen sub frame?

If it will fit, I would like to eventually get it in my garage, but I need a damn good clearout first.

Projects / Project SFC
« on: October 31, 2005, 04:48:32 pm »
Not exactly a project in the truest sense, but I've just booked in with Rocky for him to fit some SFCs and fix my rusty floor panel

Not happening until mid-December, but I am really looking forward to seeing what the cars like with them on.

Questions and Queries / Shipping Dilemma
« on: October 26, 2005, 03:57:54 pm »
Most of you have seen the ball joint press kit that I want to get -
 http://www.jackxchange.com/products/7897.cfm
I've not been able to find anything similar here in the UK (if anyone knows otherwise - please shout)

I have found a few suppliers in the states, and only one will ship to the UK - the most expensive one at $190 before shipping (UPS - expensive)
The cheapest is $143 + 15 for US shipping.

The dilemma is, should I bite the bullet and just order direct shipping, or should I try and find someone who can accept delivery in the states and then forward it to me via USPS (cheaper). I assume that this would be cheaper in the long run, but needs someone to help.

Projects / Overdrive Gearbox
« on: October 24, 2005, 09:07:52 pm »
Still got the plan to change to an overdrive at some point, but I am not 100% sure which one to go for.

The 200-4r is supposedly a direct swap in, but the 700r4 is supposed to be stronger/more reliable, but is more of a pain to swap in as it's longer.

I have found one supplier that will do either and claims that there is no difference in quality, only in the gear ratios.

Anyone have any decent info on either of these boxes, and opinions on whether to go for a 'new' one or get a used one from over here and get it rebuilt?

Well the catalogue has finally arrived

Disappointing in that there is nothing in it that wasn't on the website, but the bonus is there is a full price list.

I suppose it is nice to have a paper copy to hand, I will bring it to the next meets.

Been checking the options for 2nd/3rd Gens, and it appears we are limited to the Sport or Track options - but I think a wheel upsize is going to be mandatory whatever.

Suggestions / Forum Layout??
« on: October 18, 2005, 07:27:30 pm »
Now we are up and running, and we seem to be going well, Can I have some suggestions for the forum layout.

I added a few basic ones just to get us started, but I think that it can be better. There is the option to add a sub-titles to separate into sections if required. See Naughty Section

Go for it....
