American Graffiti

Simple storyline, fair acting, lots of Good cars set in 1962.
Backed with period music.  "The original" in many ways.

Roadhouse 66 1/2

Again simple story.  Guy races baddie, guy is winning, baddies shoot guys rad out.
Guy gets help in challenging baddie but there's a few twists.  Not available on DVD in the UK.

Roadracers 3/4

Directed by Robert Rodriguez - nuff said.
A Dirty film full of Dirty Rock n' Roll.  Simple story with twisted, twisted bits thrown in. Not av. in UK.

Hot Rod

Guy builds MoPar for big race weekend, Guy crashes MoPar before the racing starts.  Guy set out to build new Hot Rod before the cops arrest him and before the races begin.  Again some good music, there.  Not Av. in UK.

Car

Not great, but a classic "Must see".
Unknown posessed car is out and about killing people on the road.
Dislikes graveyards.  Kinda looks like a Lincoln.

Duel

Again, classic must see.  Guy p!sses off a truck driver while driving his car . . . rest of the film is Truck trying to kill car.  Bit better than it sounds.

Dazed and Confused

Story about kids finishing school and getting wasted on beer and pot.
Good film all - round with some famous names thrown in.
Ah, the film is littered with cool cars and cool music - set in 1976.

Christine 1/2

Based on a Story by Stephen King (although not as good as the book)
Car is posessed from the beginning in 1957.
Film goes to 1979 where she's brought by a snotty geek.  Must see.

Of course I could add:

Gone in 60 seconds (for the last 10 minutes) and

Fast and the Furious (for the last 10 minutes)

But I won't.

and 2 Fast 2 Furious (for the bit in the middle) as there's actually more of the Challenger & Camaro in that film than the charger in the 1st film

(still all get trashed though & the ricers don't )

2 Fast 2 Furious- Only the scenes with the 69 Yenko Camaro (which I would give my left nut for, Especially since I have 2 kids ) and the HEMI Challenger.
The Wraith, Smokey and the Bandit, Hollywood Knights, Bullitt, 2 Lane Blacktop, The Gumball Rally, Cannonball Run (the first one).
