NB : Obscure fact of the day : Mazda is the only major car manufacturer with a dedicated plant to repair engines that are still under warranty ( Rotary Wankel Engines ).

I liked the idle burble... but then the thing ive always loved about V8s is that off-burble idle and open headers, almost like its going to stall..

im just saying... if my car made a noise like that, id shoot it to put it out of its misery... it sounds like an extended curry fuel'd fart...

Well neither was I, but it sounds like a jet turbine which is hardly surprising since it's a very high reving rotary engine

I was at the Ace Cafe last year when the RX7/8 club arrived and some of more modified engines had a really mean lumpy idle, almost like a highly tuned ford cross flow engine

this is possibly the best sound EVER! V8 growl, but with an exotic, cultured edge.... sounds, well... expensive.

It sounds a lot like the ferarri v8s which I've never been keen on. I do however like the sound of the quatrroporte maseratis when they;re trundling by... when they start nailing it they go all high pitched and raspy which isnt nice...

i still prefer the sound of this...

That doesn't sound like a V8, just sounds nasty and whiney. You need to lumpy cam and the displacement, theres no substitue.

Ignore the bit in the garage, that sounds like an air compressor in the background. The bit in the street is where its at!!
