Fuel regulator/Fuel pressure guage

Most fuel pressure regulators have 1 inlet and 2 outlets.

Can I use one outlet for fuel feed and the other for the fuel pressure sender? or will the reading be inaccurate and the sender needs to be in the 'flow line'?

mine sits on the regulator as it has a plug you can remove for just that job. So cant see any reason why not
