'Anodised' hose clamps
« on: June 11, 2007, 02:54:32 pm »
I'm on the lookout for some fake braded hose ends.

There was one on the fuel line of the spare camaro I had - it's basically a normal hose clip, but is has an anodised aluminium cover that makes it look like a proper braided system.

This isn't the best pic of it in the world, but it's the only 1 I have - it's the red one under the pump.

I've never seen them before, but would like to get hold of some more.  Anyone got any ideas where I can get them?

Both of them are the sort of thing,  but I was hoping for something UK side.  Things that small become very expensive when shipped after you've added the various charges,

A lot of parts houses here have the simulated braided hose kits, have you tried the parts places???

Sadly, it's not just taxes - Summit charges an international 'handling' fee.  Couriers charge a handling fee too.

I don't mind so much on bigger $ items, but paying fixed charges on cheap items means they are no longer cheap.

I may just put them on the 'to buy' list and add them to make a bigger order when the time comes.
