I need a little bit of welding done. Doesn't need to be pretty, just strong and straight

My bed has a T shaped steel brace that runs the length of the bed and is fixed to head and tail of the bed via a steel bracked. The seam connecting the bracket to the brace has cracked and come apart.

Has anyone local got a welding kit that could just weld this back together for me? It means dismantling the bed to get at it so I don't want to take it to a shop and leave it there to be done.

How long is the weld you need ?

I've got an arc welder which will do the job but with it being small it tends too over heat and cut after about 8/10 inches on the higher heavy gauge settings

i've got a mig welder although its a bit temprmental at the mo (it has a problem feeding and then stopping feeding as me & ryan found out when welding the MKB BBQ Grill up) so we can try and see how it goes .... if its only a short run **should** be ok!!

As much as I'd like to think that I'm just too much man for the bed, its much more likelyto be a result of me getting to be a bit of a fat bastard over the last 3-4 months.

The size of the nail is irrelevant when you have 161/2 stone hammer banging it in
