Thanks for that Andy, will do a little digging this week and see what people say.

The power steering bracket fits perfectly and mutch better than the bodge that we removed.

Will try and get some before and after picks of the manifold and shifter you gave us.

Last but not least that master cylinder is the right one so if you let us know what you want for it we can settle up with you

No mate there will be a proper breakdown on all costs to show people you can build a car on a sensible budget.

Another succesful day yesterday with the removal of front end sheet metal, heating sstem and the motor. Only found a little bit of rust and nothing that cant be fixed with ease. As originaly suspected the car was what would now be a rare firebird esprit bluesky unfortunatly at some point in its life it was changed to a trans am clone.

Curent pics will be uploaded to the gallery as soon as i get them from shifty

Wierd eh ?
No doubt it made sense at the time, the Espirt was the base model and the Trans Am was the one to have.

Have you found out the actual engine size yet ?

Yup its a 400 mate

Yeah they only made 34,000 esprite's and around 68,000 Transam's the firebird was the base model and they only made 30,000 of those

You weren't kidding when you said the front end had been stripped

My overall impression is still that the basic structure of the car is in sound condition ?

Yup quickest way to get the motor out is to remove the front end sheet metal,  only the outer fenders and front clip will be re fitted the inners are just to heavy and not needed

Yup looks pretty good to me, some one did a great job with the under seal only a little bit of rust in a couple of places which is easily repaired

What condition are the inner wings in?  If they're better than mine, I might be interested.
