Did you not think to cover the screen before grinding ?

I'd be more worried about the newspaper and highly flamable liquid on the roof

I've seen a couple of cars burnt out doing simple hot work jobs, I always check , then double check the vehicle and have a good fire extingisher ready just in case ( although the TA is pretty much bare metal at the front )

There's a lip on the edge of the fire wall where I was grinding, this was directing the sparks towards where camera is and the ground.

G-unit was in the process of taping the window up ready for stone guarding the front fire wall when I said he should get a picture.

I made that mistake once . . . Never again.

As shifty says the sparks were going away from the screen, not a single mark on it and after going over with a razor blade scraper the screen is in excelent condition

Dash board is in the body shop this week, we removed all of the vinyl and foam covering from it so its just a plastic panel. A little body filler and it will be smooooooth then painted with some NEXTEL™ i had left over from another project leaving a super cool dash ready for the switches and guage

yup as well as the dash is now lighter sans all the foam padding and vinyl. the body filler is just to fill in some nasty mouldings

Without the filler it'd be lighter still.

Nah we are pretty much on course. We should be ready for the first round, might not make the test and tune though.

Jobs to do

Build and install motor

Build and install exhaust

Wiring

Rebuild front end panels

Small amount of welding to floor pan
