The stupid thing is that it fired and ran for 30 second

That's rather weird if you still have a spark & fuel ?

Trying to think why it would die after 30 seconds

When it was running, was it OK or rough ??

was running smooth, i had to start it by pumping the gas but i figured that was probably because the fuel injectors had air in them

So that seems to indicate that the timing was OK, so with a spark & fuel why won't the bitch run

welcome to my world,

OK my next move would be spraying some easy start into the intake whilst cranking the engine over  !

Did this with the Trans Am and found out the fuel filter was blocked

Well that was a waste of 3 days

I now own a 1800kg paper weight

The work was relatively easy and completed in 2 days unfortunately thats where the problems start. I managed to get it to fire once and then no more. I have spark, fuel and compression. But will it start will it feck. I now think a module has died else where and this as far as i am concerned is the end for this car.

Ahh crap, not really what you wanted

hope ya get it sorted

Well after 200 pages of threads on the owners forum ( nope im not signed up there) i think i might have a very small idea that the problem is fuel pressure related. Im thinking one of the injectors didnt seat correctly on the fuel rail, so this morning i have pulled it all apart and wil re assemble when titsy comes across tonight. I know for sure there is fuel getting to the injectors as i got a fuel shower when i pulled the rail

Well A huge thanks to titsy for his help tonight.

The good news is that the biatch is running all be it not to well, anything less than 50% throttle and she dies but then again i know we only have 5 cylinders as leads arnt designed to be puled on and off 50 times

When titsy arrived the fuel system was stripped, we then checked all the injectors for a click, noid lite every injector wire, pulled all the plugs and checked for a spark and checked compresion.

We then puled the fault codes and tested the 2 sensors that it said were out of range which were fine, guessing that the ecm had no tables as the car hadnt been run hence the out of range

We then tried pretty much every thing until titsy pulled the pump fuse at which point she tried to fire, by nailing the throttle with the fuse in we got her to fire for a few seconds

We then started to check the regulator and found a blockage in the vacuum line which once cleared she could be started all be it foot to the floor and providing the revs were held at 2500 would continue to run.

Tomorrow i will swap out the broken lead with a spare i have at work, i will also wash out the plenum to make sure no more shit can get into the vacuum line and finaly i wil replace the fuel regulator.

Well just spoke to the guys next door and they tell me its not gonna be the fuel pressure regulator , so if this plug lead doesnt solve it tonight im not sure what it can be. Im gonna test the vacuum tonight and make sure i havnt got a split some place.

Should be, need to do a coolant change and stop an oil leak and its good to go, its got a mean exhaust note to it now
