Stupid error message
« on: December 19, 2006, 06:48:48 pm »
Does anyone know what this means?:

Its related to the Z-engine software for my strange keyboard and occured after I changed the (TOTALLY UNRELATED) heatsink and fan on the CPU, when I rebooted the PC it decided that it had to redetect the keyboard and the software vanished.

I tried re-installing it but it said it had to uninstall first, so I did...

It decided to crash during uninstall, so...
re-installed, still presented error message and unable to run z-engine software, so...

uninstalled it again & reinstalled and get the same results  stupid Z-Board, this is the 3rd one i've had and its really annoying me.

(Oh and before graeme comments, Z-Boards fit Macs too... )

Which is silly as they're designed for gamers . . . . . . who clearly don't buy macs.

yep 3rd one indeed, the first one just pressed rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr all the time and the second one the left hand part of the space bar stopped working (its in 2 bits) and the 'n' key decided it would much rather be a 't' key and there was nothing I could do about it so that went back to the shop as well!

I'm amazed you tried a 3rd one.  If the first 2 are no good, I give up and move to something (hopefully) better quality.

Dont think there many other things like the Z board though - it is a very wierd (special) bit of keyboard technology!!
