Pity the VAT man would charge the amount of VAT on it's market value here

Still cheap though

Back to the original topic...

Your thinking of selling the z28 because it's not perfect any more? That's barmy.
You can either keep it perfect or drive it. Personally I've never seen the point of a car that isn't driven.

Give it a blat down the drag strip some time. You might end up with a different set of priorities after that.

no mate thats the price including all taxes just worked it out for you

you pay 10% on the purchase of the car

then 17.5% on the purchase of the car and the shipping cost inclusive of the 10% duty

or how about this

Yeh I know where your coming from but as your aware it does get driven just not as much as I'd like.

Suppose I do it because not many people can or want too ?
How many times have you looked at a "true survior" car and thought if only ?
7 years down , only 23 to go and it's a classic ?

If your gonna do that you need to seal it up and store it away.

If your enjoyment comes from the polishing cleaning showing and driving  then time to move on and find something else to do all of the above too

consider it like this....

with the decent ammount youu could get for your Z28, you could afford a sound thirdgen, and have the budget to bring it right up to show winning (well, you know what i mean, coz thirdgens dont win shows..) standard...

something less comon than a Z28 or IROC... perhaps a sport coupe?

hmmm...... where could you find a nice un abused sport coupe that may be for sale localy?

hmmmm.................................

Hmm, that one looks a little scabby on close inspection . . . Front wheels look a tad large, too.

Wouldn't say "no", though.

They do when it pisses it down and the trailer queens stay away!

For the money Martyn's car is worth he could buy mine, Philo's and Fubar's together in a job lot!

Seriously though, you are having very naughty thoughts Martyn.

Go and stand in the corner until Management lets you have your tea.

to bring it right up to show winning

I would hope that it is already at Show winning standard , I just have very high standards
Because I know every inch of the car so well I can see signs of deterioration which other people wouldn't/couldn't see , I do find it very therapeutic after a hard days slog to slink off down to the garage and polish my bits
Sorry PhilO but I think a third gen isn't on the list , well not until after the 2nd and 1st gens
