Yup, after seeing one of these babies I knew "Fins and Chrome" was for me.

The '59/'60 Invicta/Le Sabre is a car very much on "Roadkill's Car list".

After (stupidly ) NOT bidding on that '60 Le Sabre last week, this beauty has popped up.

Im more into the early 50's the fins dont do it for me so nothing much past 57

I'm the opposite, the 54's, 55's and 56's were too small and boxy IMO they also differed very little in styling.

1957 is when the bulk of US Manufacturers started to get it right.

ie. '57 Bel Air, '57 Fairlane, '57 Plymouth, '57 Dodge, '57 Caddy and '57 Lincoln all were impressive cars, completely different to those before.

It's just a pity by 1960 the fins were dying out and the chrome being reduced.
