Well i decided today was the day to change out the header gaskets on the scorpio. Warmed the car up to ease removal of the bolts with no problems at all. The heatshield bolts came right out. Once the heat shield was off i could see the reason for the manifold blow and that was the fact that 2 of the 6 bolts were missing. Removed the others with no problems. Once the manifold was removed i found out that the bolts werent missing they were sheard clean off so now i have to pull the head and drill the studs out.

Im guessin this was done by the same dumb fcuk who intaled the rear whel bearing back to front

I have a cooker hood that was removed the day i moved into my current place. It has never been used and is still complte with instruction booklets.

Its a hotpoint and is the type that goes between a pair of cabinets.

I have tried 3 times to sell this on ebay with the last dumbass who won it for 99p not wanting to bother collecting when he lives this side of oxford

I will give it 2 more weeks before it get dumped in the trash

General Banter / US$ on its way back up

Yup after peaking at around $2.10 late last year it slumped to $1.95 but with americas rash decision to drop 3/4 of 1% and rumours of anther 1/2 of 1% next week the dollar is slowly climbing back up to $1.9783-£1

General Banter / Back from London
« on: January 21, 2008, 06:18:08 pm »
Well im back from my trip to london to see the specialist about my eye.

Thanks to edge for meeting at lunch even if he did send me on a route march around london to find him lol

Now for the results

As some of you know my vision in my left eye is not good due to having pellucid marginal degeneration, 1 in 16k people are affected by this and the consultant was shocked how bad mine was he estimates i have 5% vision in my left eye and that i will need a corneal transplant. So thats whats going to be done.
The left eye also has the same mutation but in a very early stage and will also need treatment but this time it will be C3R which basically involves using UV light to set the cologen in the eye rigid, he estimates this will last 5 years plus.

So after being scanned and probed and various drops in my eyes i came home. Its not easy to drive with dilated pupils, they must be almost 10mm across
