Excellent, ta.
I've found "A13 CHV" for £164 which I think is good for the money - providing mine's an "A-Reg".
Needs to be MoT'ed and taxed first, though. (http://www.mkb.cc/forum/smileys/chiny.gif)

I saw a pair of numbers recently, L222 PHL and R222 PHL at £400 each... would make a nice pair
The £1800 one I saw was "RKA 350" (RoadKill Auto, 350ci) - kinda perfect for the 'Maro ! (http://www.mkb.cc/forum/smileys/cool.gif)

When a buyer is found
IF should be the statement i think, as unless someone wants that letter / number combo you could end up having it hanging about for some time.

you can transfer your private plate onto a retention certificate, this will automatically issue you with a new age related number, but it does cost money - still cheaper than actually buying a new nuber though, and you can sell the ALZ number at any time (even on ebay) while its on a valid retention certificate.
THat may well be the best idea, although retention is max 3 years so you gorra sell it in that time, otherwise i think the cert expires and then gets passed back to DVLA?

On the otherhand I also struggle to see how my 5.7-litre V8 Camaro could be deemed "Chavvy"
It's not too late to stick some more fibreglass on it. (http://www.mkb.cc/forum/smileys/smirk.gif)

nothing to do with chav... CVH is a ford engine, 1.6 usually, 8v, hence xr2...

I thought Chav when RK mentioned CVH

Only the hood's 'glass . . . . And that was a '83-only special option.
I fitted the cowl as the hood no longer cleared the motor . . . I did intend using a steel hood to cut up but that's another story . . .

As PhilO pointed out Speedy Reg is your friend :

The trick is buy one when the registrations are first released being dirt cheap, every 6 months or so the DVLA release a new batch such as BIG, DIG, FIG, MBZ etc (http://www.mkb.cc/forum/smileys/chiny.gif)
