Quoting: Roadkill
What exactly was the issues ?
The paintwork was nowhere near as good as it looks in the piccys, there's a Lot of scrapes & repaired patches, front arches were rusty on the outside and had obviously just been touched in to sell the car (Over the rust)
Rear arch on the passenger side was beginning to go the same way as mine has done all the way round.
Inside lip on both rear arches (where mine was rebuilt) was quite crunchy too, as was the underside of the Hatch Panel where those plastic plugs are.
Floorpan had various small crunchy bits but nothing that couldn't be fixed with a wire wheel & a Huge tin of Underseal (Not present on the car in any way shape or form)
The engine Oil was like Tar, either really really old or linked to the fact he had spliced both cooling fans together so that they were running off the emergency switch so the engine was almost boiling on a regular basis.
Exhaust Manifold Gasket was blowing.
The Dual Exhaust system of 2 1/4" ==> 5" would NOT survive in MK as it had about 2" of ground clearance running under the floor pan & under the rear axle. Apart from the fact that the 5" exits at the back looked
Ridiculous that would need replacing fairly soon unfortunatly.
Hatch and Bonnet Struts were as good as scrap.
On the + Side the 18" rims actually looked quite good in Person!! and everything electrical worked fine, including the Hatch Motor (although that would need a refurb)
