I couldn't do it!! Even going beyond Zone 6 daily for work in Guildford is giving me the serious hump!! I moved out of London for a litte while ealier in the year, and I was back in South London after that experience faster than a fast thing!!

Nice to have the space tho ..

MK14? That could be Great Linford, Downs Barn, part of Stantobury, Neath Hill or even Conniburrow. I'd guess Neath Hill or Great Linford based on the house design

Yep, you do, both building and planning if it's within a certain distance of the house (which it is).

I'd question that - I can't believe he'd get approval for that . . . could be why it's not being sold via estate agents ?

Could also be why its so cheap despite the large asset - ie the garage.

Bet he ends up having to tear it down...

Nope, not as simple as that, either.  I think It's 6 years, but I think you're still liable.

The guy would need to take out a (one off) insurance policy to cover the extension to cover it in the event of it needing to be demolished.

Even then, the new owner isn't covered for the loss / loss of value on their house, merely the costs.
