ive heard off that being done before, sonds like an easy way out for a lot of niggly little parts that you cant get a wire brush on...

ive got an astro v6 engine that could do with cleaning..... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Or you could let me ex secretary drive the car for a while - she could strip paint from almost every panel in a 10 minute drive to the city centre

Your meant to dry them and then paint them so they don't

Dry the worst off with lint free towels, then heat lightly with a blow-torch.

This will evaporate all moisture . . . then spray them with primer while still warm / hot-ish.

As they cool the pores in the steel absorb the paint more readily - proving better protection and no chance of rust !



Learn't that off a guy on one of the U.S forums . . . . makes perfect sense, really.
