Hmm...

As amusing as it is, in reality you stand no chance of stopping that bad boy quickly in the wet and that means you're putting your life and anyone else in the cars life at risk. If you were to injure someone you care about you'd sih you'd coughed up for what is the v cheap basics of maintenance.

The same goes for whoever you run into the back of...

I stand more chance of stopping my car then many do with brand new tyres but driving like an idiot.

The car's not perfect, true, but I don't generally speed (if at all) and I don't tailgate.

In poor conditions I take it even easier.

After having them off the car I admit the tyres were worse then I'd first thought . . .

People as a whole rely way too much on technology . . . expensive tyres, huge multi-pot brakes, ABS, traction control . . .

It all means $hit all if you can't drive.

I'm used to driving older cars . . . a slight lack of saftey goes with the territory.

The other time was going down hill in terrential rain and fading light - I hit a stationery car half on-half off a roundabout.
The driver was uninsured and on her mobile phone and didn't have her lights on.
Plus both cars were french so that can only be a score !

Generally, if you drive then you are a bad passenger, I was cringing a few times at the weekend whene we were in the van, but generally our posseptions of peoples ability to drive as compared to our own is due to the feeling of having no control when we are passengers... It's all psycological...
