Personally i think the skylake is a bit overkill plus its only an i5,  id be more tempted to go for a i7 with 40 pci-e lanes and that be better as dont think the skylake would make much difference for deans gaming,  somethng like an i7 5930k

If you want cheap & cheerful, the Tesco Hudl would do - it's an Android Device, 16gb onboard storage with 8" screen:
http://www.tesco.com/direct/hudl2-orange-refurbished/661-1705.prd?pageLevel=&skuId=661-1705 (only link i can find is for refurb but new ones in stores all the time)

Then slightly more is google's Nexus 9 tablet - 8.9" screen, android 5, various storeage options

Then there's the range of sumsung devices, varying sizes and storage, something like a Tab 3 or Tab 4 would be more than sufficient :

Last bit of the PC arrived today, a wireless Razer Mamba Gaming mouse   (RRP is 139.99 on this - thankfully didn't pay anywhere near that!)

After a few bugs, seems to be all working OK now, just need some rubber grommets to arrive to stop the fan rattling / vibrating the case and it's all done.

Currently running average of 135 FPS in Rage with all settings on the highest :):

Sounds and looks a great idea but thats a whole lot of money for somthing to tell you time!

General Banter / New Tow Vehicle
« on: August 17, 2015, 08:18:06 pm »
Been looking for a replacement tow vehicle / second car for a while since we got shot of the Land Rover, and been looking at Jeeps mainly - went to see a couple and wern't impressed as they were definately not as descrived in the adverts (lacquer peel, tracking issues, air con problems, exhaust & coil spring issues etc etc), then came across the one we bought on Autotrader.

We have picked up last night, a '06 Mitsubishi Shogun Sport Warrior 3.0L V6 Auto.

It's got 129k on the clock so fairly high, but does have full service history and various receipts for some work, is due a service now but came with 12 months MOT on it.
Got a few scratches around the body, most of them look like with a good T-Cut & Polish should come out, driver's seat a bit worn but reckon with some leather food & a good clean it be OK.
