So what lessons did you learn from this trip

When four people have to carry all you need plus a little more for 2 weeks, you better make sure you have a BIG boot:
If you're going to drive near on 2500 miles in a car, make darn sure you go over it with a fine tooth comb before setting out, otherwise it's going to cost you a alot of time and money along the way; and may leave you stranded all together if you're not VERY lucky... [img]http://www.mkb.cc/gallery/albums/Graeme/deans%20pics/CIMG3918.JPG\" border=\"0\"  alt=\"\" width=150>If you're going to spend 2 weeks and 2500miles on the road in the company of your friends, make sure that they are very good friends and that you are very tollerant, because you WILL rub each other up the wrong way at times, and you have no choice but to get over it...Americans like the English accent, be sure to work it to your advantage whenever you can...People in the Mid-West of America are some of the nicest you could hope to meet...

I woke up again at 3am . . . odd.

I felt O.K this time, though - and got back to sleep no problem.

Wise words. I set off next Saturday for a 2000 mile road trip in a 55 year Cadillac i only got last week to the Power Big Meet in Sweden. Have gone through the car as much as possibile but i think it may also end up being a bit of an adventure. Actually there are 4 cars, my 53 Cadillac, a 54 Cadillac, a 61 Ford galaxie and a 56 Chrysler Imperial doing the road trip this year.

If you're going to spend 2 weeks and 2500miles on the road in the company of your friends, make sure that they are very good friends and that you are very tollerant, because you WILL rub each other up the wrong way at times, and you have no choice but to get over it...

also wise words as i've found on these trips in the past, i came close to putting a pillow over my mates face one night last time i did this trip due to his snoring!

I'm guessing it's the block-off plug for the water pump drive . . . I shouldn't need it, but I'll have it anyway.
