Title: MKB LOGO
Post by: FUBAR on March 07, 2006, 06:55:41 am
Logo News!

Ok, I've put something together this evening which I think is what we are looking for...

Below are 2 Large Images, 1 with Neon on & 1 with Neon Off, this is mainly for animation purposes.  For the Techies Here this image has been made on 4 separate layers so that Transparancy, animation, Glow removal & colour changes are all possible for any application.

Hope you like it, the size is Large, again to allow manipulation.

Below is an example of an animated Logo (Very simple for now!).

That's really neat , good work Ryan.
Just one point , this will be fine for the web site but do we need some reference to " car club " so that we can use it on T shirts , BBQ's , Ambulances etc etc ?

I can do another version with 'Car Club' where the MKB bits are, but if we want the word American included it would have to be written underneath.

Looking good - how small can it go before it starts to look crap?

Well this is an issue that I found when making the 25%size animation, It seems to lose some of the Neon effect... this can be played with as its by no means set in stone but I can't imagine we'd want anything smaller than that animation anyway...?

Ah ok mate, will leave it to you. Will the flash animation be a little more random on the flicker or is this gonna be a GIF file?

Yeah that one was only done as a demo (just 2 frames) I can also make bits flicker too, like just 1 letter or words or the double borders etc etc.

Basically everything but the text was nicked from someone's holiday Photo of a Krispy Kreme "Hot Now" Sign, It was the only large front on shot I could find!

I Reckon Blue's better than green.

Or leave it as just Red ? - Simple and effective ?

I Can't see green. (http://www.aaci-beds.co.uk/forum/smileys/sad.gif)

Also maybe substitute the top "MKB" for "American" and the bottom "MKB" for "Car Club"

This is all Possible (Except seeing Green), Colour Changes are Easy-Peasy (like a 5 sec job for basic changes) although I have to say I like the plain Red.  The Text I can change but will have to do tonight at home.

I like it how it is TBH but are things like having "& Bedfordshire" instead of "and Bedford" needed?

Will need to know BEFORE making any kind of final version or animated gifs.   i.e. Today!

We are M.K & Beds . . . . Not M.K & Bedford.

If that were the case Luton (for example) wouldn't be in our "catchment" area.

The curved text option I found in there ends up stretching the letters and looking crap.

I would do the individual letters and move/rotate them into the right positions. Unless you find something easier - and if so let me know how (http://www.aaci-beds.co.uk/forum/smileys/wink.gif)

Thats what I did with the MKB letters, just made them up manually, time consuming though and getting the spacings right so it looks good is fiddly.

Is there not a text to curve option? This normaly takes the letters as they are and pins them to the curve selected

You want the source image to be as big as possible i'd imagine...  lot easier to scale it down at the time than need to increase the size.

Yeah but the size of the last one i got from the .gif is fine.  I was probably gonna use the blank version, no red, and tell the sewing machine its red.

Well if we are going for a Main feature type tshirt then the logo should be about 5 inches across in the middle of the Chest.

If its more a "Company t-shirt with logo" type then about 2 inches across on the LHS of the chest where these things normally are.

Is that £50 set up for each order we place ?  Or kind of a "new customer" set-up ?

Also is there a minimum order quantity ?

What sizes are available ?

Let's get this in motion ASAP.

Hi Graeme

The cost to set the logo up would be a one off set up of £50.00, this should be more but as we know you very well I won't charge our normal cost.

T-Shirts

Fruit of the loom SS21M £**** each
Gildan 2000R £**** each

Sweatshirts

Fruit of the loom £**** each
Jerzees Sweatshirt 762M £**** each

All of the above would include a right or left breast logo free of charge.

If you need any more prices please do not hesitate to call me.

Kind Regards

Michelle

I asked for a price on 20 pieces, all sizes are available and we can mix sizes to make 20 pieces.

Was thinking of white and black as those would work best with the logo

A lot of web browsers display an icon in the window where you type the URL or is this a netscap/mac only thing

I thought that's what you meant. However, I get the basic 'Exporer' one on the AACI pages (but that may be something to do with the work internet)

Easy to do, but we need the logo saved as a icon, and I think we'd lose all the detail.  We can certainly try it though.
