Hmm yeah but then i dont have a semi sensible daily car (as the cobra is the work car/daily/trips etc car)

Waddya mean???  You're saying the '73 isn't sensible for a daily?!?

1. No computer crap.
2. No note payments.
3. Cheaper insurance.
4. Less tax.
5. Easier to work on. (see #1)
6. Cheaper parts. (see #1)

Sounds perfectly sensible to me!

Can you tell i'm not a big fan of computerized motors?!?

Nothing is made to last anymore mate! I hate buying new appliances as you know they'll not last as long as what they're replacing. Had to buy a new deep freeze about 3 years ago to replace one 33 years old. Don't expect the new one to last more than a few more years and thats if i'm lucky!!

Questions and Queries / MPG - How?
September 09, 2006, 10:05:45 AM
Miles traveled / Gallons used = MPG (in US gallons)

ex. 300 / 15 = 20

To get a true feel of your MPG I would check this 3 times and average the 3.

ex. 345 / 17.2 = 20.06
     313 / 16.5 = 18.97
     320 / 15.7 = 20.38

    20.06 + 18.97 + 20.38 = 59.41

    59.41 / 3 = 19.8

General Banter / 19th Anniversary
September 08, 2006, 09:38:07 PM
Thanks fellas! It was ok as birthdays go. I got to spend the day putting a new floor in my daughters bedroom in her trailer. The water line going to the water heater busted a couple of weeks ago and the sorry arsed pressed sawdust plywood they use in the floor warped up all over the place. It now has a real plywood floor. Now i'm tired as hell but have nothing else planned for the weekend except to nurse the bottle of JD I bought this afternoon!

what are the implications engineering and performance wise of going from 2 1/4" exhaust down to 2" for around 12" of the exhaust system...

I could give you all the technical jargon about what it will do but suffice it to say -20 bhp give or take a couple.

Ah ok its a physical lock makes sense now. If they can unlock it then some one else can with a little imagination

Yes, a physical lock/block. I see now you thought it was a computer block and thought I hacked their system!?! I wish! I know just about enough about computers to make me stupid!LOL

Not exactly sure what the tool looks like that's made to remove the block. The block itself is basically a screw on cable wire end with a seperate floating barrell inside. You can turn and turn and it wont unscrew. But if you wiggle it while trying to unscrew it it relieves the friction in the threads and will come off. It just takes a bit of patients.

tell me about it, just me online all day with no one else showing up

I'd of been here sooner but the fecking cable company blocked my line! I pay my bill online and always before it's due. Some moron technition put a block on my line and was supposed to be blocking a neighbors line apparently. Gave the cable company's phone operater an ear full and I imagine they're gonna be none too happy with me as I removed their block that you're not supposed to be able to remove! Told her i'm keeping their block till a technition comes round to collect it too! B*sturds!!

Thing is he knows crocs too well, it almost makes sense that it would be somehthing that, as far as I know, he's not so used too.

Definitly a valid point but you know how it is when someone knows something too well, they get sloppy and make mistakes.
