The screen is in perfect condition.  There are a couple of small cracks on the bottom of the tablet case, where the tablet latches to the dock, but they are barely noticeable and don’t affect the latching mechanism, to be honest I only noticed them while taking photo’s for sale.  Also the plastic cover on the USB plug has cracked, again doesn’t affect functionality.

A white Nokia MD-12 Bluetooth wireless speaker with hands free call function.

The speaker itself is surprisingly good for the size. It charges using the micro USB lead provided (no mains adaptor) and can connect to a phone using NFC, if that's how you roll. Otherwise you can use the instructions to link it to your phone.  The speaker uses any hard table surface to enhance the bass.  There is an option to use a 3.5mm lead to connect it to a non Bluetooth device such as an old iPod, not included.

Projects / Fascia board replacement..
« on: June 06, 2014, 09:29:58 am »
I'm looking at replacing the Fascia Boards on the Garage as they've rotted in places.  I've never done it before so any tips?

From what I know they're basically wooden planks nailed to the roof rafters...are they called rafters on a garage?..anyway.. I'm not sure how the Felt is a attached, maybe tacked/nailed? I don't see any but I've not been up a ladder and looked yet.
Would I need to replace the felt?
Most/All of the Fascia board replacements I've found on the interweb are plastic and slightly "L" shaped but the boards on the garage don't appear to be.. perhaps they're just thiner and the "L" at the bottom closes the gap to where the Soffit would normally be, or am I looking for the wrong thing?  Example
Any advice appreciated.

Some pics.

General Banter / You know it's cold when...

...unlocking your car in the morning knocks out the passenger side mirror and door electrics..

The passenger auto fold mirror jammed with ice and knocked out the electrics down the left hand side of the car- locks, windows and mirror...well that's Fords for you..

Reset the control module on my lunch break and seems fine now.. (Had to pull the fuse. )
You would have thought the anti pinch mech (I'm assuming that was the route cause) would reset after an ignition cycle..

Due to JLR making us "work smarter" (Work from home) and having DAB in the car I've been listening to loads more music or rather just new music, at least new to me..

Liking these guys....I maybe late to the party though..

Food and Drink / Awesome Wings.
« on: February 05, 2013, 12:38:11 pm »
Made these at the weekend and now I'm an addict!

Take a kilo of chicken wings, de-tip each wing and separate at the knuckle. Bake on a tray at Gas 9 /260°C on lowest oven rack for 20 to 25 min. until crispy, turning once.

Meanwhile make the sauce:
1/2 cup (125 ml) FRANK'S® REDHOT® Sauce (you can find it in Tesco) mixed with 1/3 cup (75 ml) melted butter.

Toss the cooked wings in the sauce (I saved some for dipping) and enjoy.

If you've ever have the buffalo wings from Papa John or Domino's they're exactly the same.

P.S apparently Sainsbury sell ready made Franks Wing sauce which is probably much healthier but I don't yet know if it tastes as good.

General Banter / Ar$ehole, W@nker scumbags!

Attempted burglary last night

Had a go trying to get through the beading round one of the windows, couldn't manage it so smashed in the patio door, needless to say glass everywhere.

The Police, who were excellent btw turned up within the hour (non emergency call) and again this morning to dust, photograph etc, said another attempt was made a couple of streets over...didn't get in there either.

Off to screwfix shortly to buy better locks, fortress paint and a PIR to replace the standard flood light round the back and replace the bulbs in the security lamp down the side of the house.

All jobs I kept forgetting about / putting off!!...
