Saw an advert for this on Dave today.

Red Dwarf series 10 - not 100% sure on this.
Apparently it's in front of a live audience again and more like the original series.

1st episode on 4th Oct on Dave.

Although on the plus side they are showing each series in reverse order each weekend until then. Series 7 was today.

Trailer for the new series -

I will be in front of the TV on the 4th October

So will I.

The advert looks alright, there seems to be a LOT less of what really annoyed me about *cough* Back to earth *cough* which was 100% CG'd sets, a lot of it was shot as Shoulder & head shots only to save money building sets which just made it crap, and don;t even start me on "Carbug" and going to the set of clucking Corrie!!!

I'm not happy with Dave classing *cough* Back to earth *cough* as Series 9 though... 3 episodes a series! I don't think so. Rob Grant & Doug Naylor need their heads examined for allowing that!.
I was originally EXTREMELY sceptical after the aforementioned debacle and as far as i know it was almost universally panned, hopefully they will have learned from that & make this a different story all together.

Live audience
Proper sets
Humour seen so far
Space corps. Directive 595?...
No sign of a dispair squid yet...

I will be watching it, hopefully i'll enjoy it.

Did anyone see it?

Still on the TiVo as I was working late

Cunning Plan

Flicked past it before having my evening wank, I was tired and wanted to save it for the weekend.

Sky plus'd it so not watched yet.
Few people on Facebook put updates last night saying it was really good - will wait and see....

Jamieg285

Damn, missed it.

Anyone know if there is a web catch-up for Dave (or if it's repeated)?

FUBAR

I was happy with it it was funny & a bit silly, so it was FAR closer to the "good 'ol days" of Red Dwarf.

Grant & Naylor seem to have got their spare heads screwed on properly again

Went to http://video.uktv.co.uk/dave/red-dwarf/series-10/episode-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">http://video.uktv.co.uk/dave/red-dwarf/series-10/episode-1 and watched it at lunchtime.

Not bad, better than I was expecting, and I'd say better than some of the later series too.

Looking forward to the next one now.

Incursus

Yup better than I expected, made me laugh out loud a few times, and I'd only had one beer

Hmm I wasn't convinced, they just didn't gel like they did before, thumbs down from me.

Cunning Plan

Just watched it, not bad at all!

A bit more old skool and also had a few lol moments.

I didn't understand where the home-shopping channel was transmitting from as I thought there was no-one else left?

Pretty good.

As someone who didn't watch it as a teenager and haven't seen all of them / know them all religiously I'm happy to say it was certainly on a par of many of the others I've seen.

Looking forward to tomorrows.

Anyway not the type of program you dissect for consistency and accuracy
