Have never been happy with the crappy festoon number plate lamps that the T/A had fitted as sidelight so after another headlight motor gave up the ghost I decided to do something about it.

Here is the before showing very poor festoon lamps:

And here is the new blingy L.E.D. eyebrows.....

Also another job that I wanted to address was those ugly wires on the passenger inner wing that really spoil the 4th gen engine bay.

So here's the before....:

And three Farnell PCB boxes later...:

Still need to line them up and mount them to the wing but a vast improvement me thinks

+1

sorry

The LED's look like a very neat install

I'll have to see them working on the car to make a final decision

So they must be waterproof ?  Looking for something to make the motorcycle standout more in the day light, got any LED details please

Hmm not sure on the LED sidelights - definately better than those orrible festoon things thought...

Nice job on the wiring

Roadkill

Interesting concept with the LED lights on a flip-up . . .

Wires certainly look better, though.

Brighter than an R8 (apparently)
Do require heat sinks though.

I only had to pay for the LED Drivers as my mate does conversions for old shape TT's and had some prototype parts lying around

I have the 6 x 12V LEDs inc sockets that came with my head lights if they are any use to you.  Not very bright though...

Resurrected this thread as have updated the T/A lights again and you can compare with previous mods.  Due to the unusual size Sealed Beam units, very few are available to facelift the quad headlight set up, without spending loads of money.  So...at a great expense of about £8 for flexible neon tubes and some nylon line to attach.  Took the chance to also colour match the light bezels as well.

Intention is to add some daytime lights in the bottom scoops as the halo's aren't that visible in daylight and also renew the indicators.

You know what....

I don't think I have ever seen a TA with it's lights up!
