Power Supply (You *May* not need this, recommended for this setup is a good quality 600w supply, but the 750w gives you a bit of headroom for future graphics cards upgrades)

Total Cost: £729

Re-used stuff:
SSD drive for Windows install
Other Storage HDDs (I even have spares if you need more)
Case
Windows 7 + other software (antivirus)
Case Fans etc
Peripherals etc
Monitor

Everything on that list is currently in stock with Overclockers (ETA on the graphics card is 24/11).
All components are from manufacturers I use myself and would recommend.
"Skylake" processor gives you a PC with a state-of-the-art backbone, with this you will be able to build on this for years to come without having to replace the heart of your machine.
Building and configuration are included

Personally i think the skylake is a bit overkill plus its only an i5,  id be more tempted to go for a i7 with 40 pci-e lanes and that be better as dont think the skylake would make much difference for deans gaming,  somethng like an i7 5930k

FUBAR

It is an i5 but the i7 5930k Haswell is £460 before you even plug it into a motherboard so this doesn't really work with the budget in this case.  The extra PCIe lanes on that processor are also not really needed, if like we do you have 2 or more graphics cards in SLI and a PCIe soundcard then yes you need the extra lanes from an i7 but on a single-card setup its not needed imo.

What wasn't mentioned here is that the budget is ~£700

And Ian - stop looking at the forum and enjoy your holiday !!!

The boot hard drive is 167GB (free space currently 112GB).

The storage hard drive is only 465GB, with 254GB used . . . however out of that 254GB, over 120GB is old data that I can't get rid of because I need "permission from TrustInstaller" . . . . As I've done a recent back-up, could this drive be formatted to get rid of all the old crap, then my file and documents be put back on, fresh ???

That'll mean I have around 330GB which is ample as the biggest contributor to using up space at the moment is my picture taking (and it'd take a while to fill up 300GB !)

Also, re the PSU - I couldn't see a Wattage on it but I would guess it's ~550W at best - think it makes sense to replace this.

Yep, or I have spare 1TB drives (twice the size) that you can have instead if you like.

Good thinking on the Power supply.

Dean the only other thing to check is that your case has enough room for that CPU cooler, it stands 160mm from the motherboard.
