Fuel starvation ??

Nope, cause if you go and re crank it fires right up, i think its lost compresion

Anyway its better i move the car, money is tight at the moment and its an added expense. Im gonna drop the barn this year as its wasted money now i have a garage

philoldsmobile

ooh ooh, can i do the 1/4 mile challenge too?

I think its just old age mate, it runs for 10 mins then just dies. Its kind of a good thing as it means it forces me to bring the car home to finish it. I can work on it every night now and its also gonna save me money each month as its not in the barn. Once its running it will be left outside and the 55 will come home saving me more money

Hmm well might just be it don't klike its "special" fuel these days lol!!

Yeah that is true enough - if its down in the garage, means u can work on it more often and get it back on the road sooner!!!

Be a shame to not have the barn but if it costing too much then dont blame ya

Surely we could divide the cost up between those that want to use it.  As it is you can comfortably get 4 cars in there.  I for one would be willing to pay a quarter of the cost to keep it on.....

The land lady charges £15 per car per week... So my thoughts are it's free as long as you never leave a car in there...

I doubt thats gonna float, she wont have dificulty finding some one else to take on the space now she knows she can rent it

Roadkill

Maybe we need to negotiate a "flat-rate" charge ?

Hmm definately worth asking as it is a really handy "workshop" and general storage area - specially for the BBQ!!!

That was my original idea but she wanted like £400 a month after some one advised her thats what it would rent for. I tried to explain it had no power or toilet facilities but she wouldnt listen. I managed to get the £15 a week after long negotiations

Rob

Maybe worth asking a at a few farms here...you never know.

Best of luck mate, i tried plenty of farms and they just arnt intrested. Industrial units can be relativly cheap but then you have the problem of the business rates on them

55starchief

Well a huge thanks to philo for the help in getting the old girl home, also thanks to pod and podette for helping to push.

The car is now in the garage so i can start to finish up the welding in the evenings

Have all the motor parts now so will get that together over the next few weeks and that can go in

F Body

At least she has escaped from the Auto Barn of Death

yup, a manic day of trailering, but the stang is now at paragon awaiting diagnosis of its mystery running problem, (although low fuel pressure is suspected, as its MEGA lean) and the t/a is now at Greames

the 'hoe strikes again, i'm constantly amazed how that thing simply shrugs off absolutely ANY load you put on it, and running on LPG it cost about £50 in fuel for a 250 mile round trip towing, while loaded, at speed for about 175 of those miles...

55starchief

Got the bolts for the block to the engine stand today, tried to lift the block onto the stand on my own but it was to feckin heavy so gave up

lookin at that pic on the trailer...
