How do I get this? Is it expensive?

I could also do with Word, both needed for work...

Am I right in thinking that any work I do on O.Office wouldn't work on the work stations at my work place which run Microsoft?

open office is an open software ersion of microsoft office, its used in huge corperate and educational facilites who just cant justify the insane costs of running microshite licenses. It will work cross platform with microshite office, i run it at work and can open all microshite documents with it

The recording studio I used to work in used O.Office as it was sub-funded via the education system, but I could never work the word/excel formats into O.Office.... I presumed you couldn't, do you know where I can find A helpful guide to doing so?
