It's now stainless steel, front to back.

First off, remove old system:

Clean up the crap the dropped as a result:

Empty bay and under carriage:

Nice new headers - Hedman Elite, Stainless Steel, HTC coated:

Keep wrapping on whilst easing into place, to avoid scratching:

Remove wrapping when all bolted in, note the 'ball and socket' joints on the collectors, making a better seal to the tail pipes.:

Now for the rest of the car - Pypes 2.5" Stainless kit:

With RacePro mufflers:

and stainless steel Band Clamps at most connections:

Didn't get any more 'in-progress' shots, so the rest is after the job was finished.

Nice and tight, the lowest point is actually the headers:

U-clamps required to fit the muffler hangers:

Dual exit tips fit nice and tight to the rear bumper:

Oh, and did I mention, it's also got an X-pipe :

Given the relative complexity of the job, this one of the easiest I've done on the car. Done over 3 days, I could have done it all in one day if I'd wanted to.  Everything fits perfectly and was a breeze to put in.

Now to find a suitable tunnel for testing

Yeah, although it's actually quieter than I was expecting.  Could have gone up a notch or 2 on the mufflers

It's nice and quiet at low revs and barks when you open it up.

The crappy camera video doesn't really do it justice. When trying to compare the old and new sound on the vids, there wasn't much difference, but in reality there is.

Yeah, there's quite a bit underneath that I need to sort out.  Might be next years job, as I've another daunting task coming up in October

Not likely.  As a daily driver, I can only really afford to have the car off the road for a week at the most.

I'm most likely to attack it in stages, from underneath

The traffic was running slow on the way home tonight because of the rain

As I cycled along a certain white Camaro pulled along side, slipped into neutral and blipped the throttle a couple of times

The old Gal sounds good, she's got a real V8 snarl
