Need to talk to andy then mate, dont think that T5 will last long though, might need to go for a tremec or a muncie 5 speed in the short term until you can get the richmond. The T56 isnt nuch stronger than the T5

*Edit*

Tremec make both the T5 and T56 and muncie only make a 4 speed

I Know . . . . That's why I said I'd go straight to a Richmond when the T5 failed . . . . . again.

Ok,

Andy says build a 400 or a 434 as the difference in cost would be like $700 for the 383.

Also a Tremec TK600 box is what you need

And that was before the Mortgage hiked up another £95 !!!

Anyway.

The Camaro has just recieved new:

Wiper blades, Chrome Valve covers, 14x3 Air filter, Fire extinguisher, Hood struts, Adjustable water neck.

The wires in the engine bay have been tidied further.

It's got a set of 15" A.R.E Torq-thrust II's waiting to go on.
Four new Cobra's are gonna cost £280.

New suspension - Springs, shocks, bushes - are gonna cost £450.

On top of this She'll be getting new rear bump stops, a new over-flow tank.

Next job after this is fitted is to give the Water system a flush and refresh.

Then the Gearbox . . . . .

Don't forget the Cadillac should be taking my time and money - NOT the Camaro.

Shouldn't that be Sammy-Lou?

I'd go with a 350 built in the USA.
If you can afford it a 383 built in the USA as it will produce power where you normally use the car in the street.  383's are all about low and mid range torque, not high revs (being a stroker they don't like to rev).

Both options will require an uprated tranny.

If you can't afford a 383 right now then go with the 350 and add gas later.
You're hardly going to be disappointed in a spangly 350 anyways.

Yup have got just the guy to do this, infact i think he quoted prices earlier in this thread. From memory a new 350 block was the same price as a new 400 so might as well go for the 400
