FYI Everyone!!

Battlefield Bad Company 2 is only £6.79 on Steam right now!!!

http://store.steampowered.com/app/24960/

would be good for the next LAN!

I'll have to get someone to download it and install it as - based on my efforts downloading the Surfin' Bird MP3 at the weekend - I'll no doubt F*ck it up !!

FO3 sounds ideal.   Mind you alot mentioned do.

Further to my quest for wannabe G33kdom I've now downloaded :

Half life 2 Episode 1, Half life 2 Episode 2 and Half life 2, Lost Coast.

I completed Lost Coast yesterday, Episode 1 earlier today and I suspect I'll finish Episode 2 on Monday.

:G33K:

I've now downloaded GTA4 with the add-ons but am still after more games.

I'm considering Half-Life 1 (just to complete the set as it were) and someone at Sammy's work has recommended a couple : "Saint's Road 2" & "Stalker" - anyone know anything about those ???

After I've finished the Half Life's I suspect I'll go for FO3 - I'll be saving GTA4 for now.

Am now currently downloading:

Half Life,
Half Life Opposing Force,
Half Life Blue Shift,
Team Fortress Classic . . . . . .

All for £2.24 . . . . .

I haven't got a clue what the last three are about . . . I went on to buy HL1 and noticed they had the above 4 games for only an extra 75p !

We'll see.

I finished Episode 2 yesterday and am now working my way through the original Half Life . . .

May have another bod for the next LAN - a guy at Sammy's work is clearly a gaming freak, has recommended aload of games for me and has asked if he can geek-it-up at the next LAN*

* Am looking to organise LAN XII at CRK1 late March/April . . .

Shouldn't you be working on the Caddy?

Naw, it's nice to have half an hour before bed playing a game. It's better than watching rubbish on TV.

I have just bought a Dodge Ram...... On GT5. Fun game. Everyone is in rubbish Mazdas etc and I am hoooning around in a big crew-cab Ram I've fully upgraded it, reduced-weight glass, engine stage one tuning, fully adjustable suspension kit (lowered to the ground ).

Bah !

No money - or at least not enough to start that.

The Camaro needs finishing first, anyway.

While trying to solve an issue I had with Half Life (I needed the crouch-jump apparently !) I came across a mod for HL:2 called "Zombie Panic: Source".

Being a Zombie fan this interested me . . . I went to go on Steam earlier but it's blocked here at work.

Anyone had any dealings with it ?

Yep! I had to rush loads of uni work because I was too busy playing ZP.

It's good fun, not sure what the servers would be like now - if people still play or not

You would have a few guns to find with loads of people online and one person gets chosen as the 'zombie'. They have unlimited spawns and have to recruit other player zombies by biting them.

Lots of funny stuff going on like blocking up doors with barrels and a couple of you holding up in a small room with a few rounds in a shotty or something, then it is down to crowbars and whatever else you can find

Remember I said this:

Log onto steam and download Counter-Strike Source (CS:S) - it is a free add-on for the HL2 game and is a great multiplayer FPS. It's the game that started it all!

Well ZP has come from CS:S which came from CS which came from HL. When I say come from, I don't mean just the premise, the actual game engine and open-source status that allowed people to customise the game made it all possible, with it bringing a new level of online multiplayer gaming.

Have fun.

After battling that end-boss for probably an hour-plus the night before I sat down last night and blew his brains out (literally) within about 3 minutes last night - it all just came together nicely.

Am now well into Half Life : Opposing Force (should be done by the weekend).

Then it'll be onto Half Life : Blue Shift, then probably the two STALKER games I have.

I've got a couple of HL-related Death Match games but I'm guessing their multi-player so will leave those.
