Buisness cards for MKB
« on: April 06, 2006, 10:02:18 pm »
on the hunt for buisness cards for my beauty salon that i am setting up i discovered www.vistaprint.co.uk  they do 250 cards free and all you pay is the shipping which was approx £3.99 and takes 21 days.  this might come in handy to put on peoples cars at the summer billing.  Just a thought.

Good idea IMHO.

Need to get cracking on a design.

And the new website - need to have the new URL on it.

Just has a quick nosey.  The only problem is we can only edit the text - we can't add our own logo.

Don't know how much of an issue that would be, but if I was doing them, I would want our logo + maybe other images on it.

You can customise them for £7.99.

Thinking about it, is this the sort of thing that we can do ourselves?  Surely with a decent printer, and the right sort of card we can print our own.  I have a basic guillotine that can be used to cut them.

Not if it's not too thick.

Might have look and see what you can get from places like Office or PC World.

A4 is the biggest I think, but that could be width ways, meaning A3??

Need to check.

Mmmm, looking at the prices of blank business cards, it's cheaper to go with the custom option from the site Sam found.

Our guillotine cuts A3 length ways / A2 width ways.

Most printers will take card these days even my cheap epson,  just the ink is expensive.

probably cheaper to get them printed properly and they would be better quality.

Problem is the self print cards always look just that. I think if we want to look profesional we need to get cards done properly. For the sake of £20 we could have proper ofset press laminated cards and look like pros

O.K, then as soon as the new URL thing's sorted we'll get the cards done.

Yep, that's on my list of posts to post.

When I finally catch up on reading what's already here, I'll do it.
