Hmm can't remember what exact CPU / Gfx card you got - if you go into device manager (click start and then type in device manager), then expand the processor section, what does it say and how many, then same for Graphics.

You remember what playing LA Noire was like?

Its a more complex, detailed game built on a similar engine, so It'll be like that but slower.

L.A Noire was O.K - There was a funny bug that I Googled and changed a setting for to sort out, but apart from that it was O.K.

Probably passed time for an upgrade, though, anyway.

Yeah, someone was planning to buy a shiny new PC making a newer one available but that doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon now

AMD Phenom II X2 560 Processor

AMD Radeon HD 5700 Series

48.7 GB free (!!!)

Suggestions on upgrades welcome . . . I'm thinking 2 TB HDD as I'm rapidly filling up the existing one with pictures . . I could lower the file size but, ah, f*ck it !

That's prob need upgrading as even teh Min spec wants Quad core and yours is dual core cpu.

Graphics card might be OK, not sure what memory yours got, but possibly might need upgrade as well.

wow not much there - have you gone through and deleted the old saved stuff from when i rebuilt your PC, think it somewhere on the C drive, and there was a fair amount of Gb in there....

Yup definately, possibly CPU upgrade IF the system board can take a higher CPU (will have a look when next over at the system board make/model), if not then poss new CPU & m/b combo (there are some good deals on OverClockers at the min for mobo / cpu / ram combo deals)

No . . Is it all duplicate stuff in there ?

I can't see any stuff I'd want to keep . . .

I think it's mostly old stuff, that i wasn't sure if you ( A ) needed it or ( B ) we'd copied elsewhere, probably worth a 10/15 min go through and check and delete if not.

ALso, somewhere in that folder will be the Steam Library of all teh old games, if you have re-downloaded them all, delete this old directory as that'll free up a fair amount straight away!!

There's over 200 GB in there . . . couldn't see anything I wanted, and yes, I've downloaded any games I'm likely to play again - I assume any new save data from steam is going into another folder ?

I did delete a few bits last night but it was telling me they're registry files so I got scared and stopped.

That said, again, these should all be duplicates, right ?

Yup steam should be saving to either C:\Games\Steam, C:\Steam or C:\Program Files\Steam - if so then you should be fine to remove the folder in the 'backup' folder location.

Hmm, so long as you are defo in the old / backup folder should be fine - think it complaining as i will have backed up the windows files for safety so it probably doesn't like you deleting them, but again so long as you in the backup folder, should be fine.

Deleted most of that lot, but the windows stuff needs authorisation from "TrustedInstaller" . . . . . !
