Can anyone help me get a sofa (2.2m x 1m x 1m approx) from Stony Stratford to Northampton at the weekend? Will happily pay for time and fuel.

I've applied with B&Q to use the Hertz on demand service but they have to process your application and send you some electronic key fob thing...

I don't have access to any of our vans this weekend at the moment - if that changes I'll let you know.

You can borrow the Mondeo if it'll fit (may stick out the tailgate)

Pay load with the seats down is :

2000mm long (from where I have my seat positioned)
790mm High (minimum - 850mm average)
1140mm Wide (minimum)

There's cargo tie-down points in the back so securing is simples.
