Brake Fluid Change or Not?
« on: August 27, 2012, 09:13:46 pm »
I changed the brake fluid on our Ford Fiesta last year as part of its service schedule,  the fluid is still clean, but there are a few little black bits floating around in the resevoir, not many, literally like 4.

I was going to change the fluid again to get rid off them, but I'm just wondering if I need to?

Or will they make no difference and just wait for the next fluid change?

Personally I wouldn't worry about it.

Brake fluid doesn't stay clean for long . . . .

Cheers bud, that's what I was assuming as some old fluid can be black! I just haven't seen 'bits' floating around in it before.

If the brakes work OK, leave it there.  They're not going to cause any problems floating in the reservoir.
