Not a word I've used in about 25 years . . . .

Anyway.  I downloaded the "Wings of Prey" demo on steam last night . . . . had a play and the control needed was way beyond the clunky keyboard input could handle.

So I'm toying with the idea of getting a joystick . . . .

I probably log less than 100 hours of gaming a year these days so don't want to spend £££'s but would like something to make shooting down those Nazi scumbags a bit easier.

Suggestions ?

Ryan, I'm looking at you . . .

I've got one you can have, it's a Logitech with a bunch of buttons and a small throttle control.

Will get some photos later. Was when I was going through my flight sim phase and ended up with a rediculous console thing instead.

I played Angry Birds for 5 minutes the other day...that's probably my longest gaming session since I completed Portal 2 while I was off work for a couple days in Jan 2011

Oh how things change :-)

EDIT: Oh wait I played a racing game and some kind of Lego game on my dads XBox...yes my dad plays more games than I do...  still thrashed him though

This one (above) comes recommended from Internet people I know. I've considered getting this one before.

It has a cheaper little brother too without the throttle control. (Below)

If you're feeling like getting something silly (which your not) get this:

That first one you posted looks the business, Ryan.

I'll hold off and see what Andy's one is like.

The last joy stick l used was the one on my 128K ZX Spectrum so it'd be good to get a feel for one before shelling out too much.

Here you go. This little bad boy is solely responsible for downed passenger aircraft all over the place!

Dug it out of the cupboard, bit dusty. Look at it as a free extra.

Can be dusted if required.

Dust is good !

Seriously, though - looks like a good place to start.

Is that the throttle control on the base at the back ?

Certainly looks easier than juggling two sides of the keyboard and the mouse all at the same time !!

How much, Andy ?

Call it postage and packaging? I can't really sell it for anything as they're about £15 on amazin new!

Yeah, thats a mini throttle control, it doesn't have a yaw control, if you needed that?

Will give it a go - as I say - anything's easier than using a mouse.

Arrived today.

A little less dust than in the pictures, though.
