the cabinet is insulated and has a temp controller and a heat source [i use a 60w lamp]

I think it was Steve said his friend used an old fridge, fitted a lamp and controller for heating...hmm we have Katie's old fridge freezer in the garage...

sure she wont mind, I did buy her a shiny ring after all

a fridge can be used to chill and heat..
with the right controller and a heat source..
.the chilling side is used for lagering which can require fermenting for 3 months at 2 deg...

feck that ive drank enough lager over the years,

although proper lager is a good beer...

well...
 this brew has been carbonated,
then left out on the cold wet windswept patio, for the last  2 weeks,

ive tried a couple of halfs and its turned out to be possibly my best ever brew,

nice and malty and with a great but not strong hop aftertaste,

it has really changed in the last 2 weeks...

My latest has been relegated to a nice cold garage for the next two weeks..i'm going to be good on this one

This batch had the hop tea infusion and temperature controlled with the aquarium heater.
I wasn't too happy with the last batch it never really cleared.

Must admit I'm considering doubling my capacity and installing another 3 kegs . . . I think it's more out of needing something to do, rather than necessity, though.

Good stuff !

due to it being so warm,
this one is outside siting on the patio,
fermenting and its holding a temperature of 19 deg....
