Well done Ian thank you for your hard work 
Couple of comments, firstly the bland blue colour scheme makes it hard to see the details in day light, not a problem for some users 
Secondly it's really hard to find the right Smiley and when you do nothing seems to happen when you click it, you only know it's been inserted when you close the Smiley page ?
No Problems mate.
If that's the case then i'd suggest trying changing the theme (see the how to area) as there is a nice one that i use called "Red Sample" which i quite like, give some of them a try and see how that goes?
Hmm, can see what you mean, think it's designed that way so you keep it open, click on what you want, type more in the other window, click another one etc - if you resize the popup window to smaller might work better, i'll have a look and see if i can put the most used ones nearer the front so can keep it smaller and don't have to scroll any further
