cool, so does that mean you could make a data logger that would read of any sensors fitted to a car?

Titsy

We already do! VBox3 or VBox2 used with a CAN02 allows you to log vehicle sensor data from any OBD2 compliant car that uses a CAN bus...

yeah but i dont have any of tht new fangled stuff

Titsy

We have a whole host of measurement modules that plug into a VBox and allow you to log more or less all signal types from sensors on vehicle.

See the products list: http://www.racelogic.co.uk/?show=VBOX\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">http://www.racelogic.co.uk/?show=VBOX

For an older vehicl most sensors are voltage based, so an ADC02 or 03 would cover it; or you could use the 4 analogue inputs on a VBox3...

Hmm now that prob the best one but alas a bit too much ££££

Titsy

The 2cm position accuracy version of the VBox3 is £10995, plus £7995 for the base station to go with it...

Something a little more affordable would be a VBox Mini (10Hz datalogger) for £795 with a Mini Input Module for £495. The mini input module gives the capability to log 2 thermocouples, 8 analogue inputs, RPM, another frequency input such as wheel speed, and an event trigger such as a peddle pressure switch. It also gives a frequency output and analogue output of speed for use with third party equipment...
