Looks like, after mucho investigation, that Wendy's Hamburger's is not trading in the UK any more... Im not sure when it ceased but it doesn't help my hamburger quest..

The last store, at terminal 3, Heathrow airport is gone... the phone number is disconnected and heathrow customer information deny it's existance...

a sad... sad day...

Big Mouse

You're kidding right? Botulism Burgers, Campylobacter chips and E-coli Cola. I won't miss Wendys - at all

F Body

Never heard of them

But " Wendy's is a chain of restaurants founded by Dave Thomas based in Dublin, Ohio and owned by the American corporation Wendy's International, Inc. There are over 6,700 Wendy's restaurants worldwide"

They closed about 7 in London a couple of yeras ago.

As far as I was aware the Heathrow one was the only one left.
It still appears on the list of restaurants in Terminal 3 though?

lol... what do you know... tsk.....

Tried Wendys three times, first time at Atlanta International while waiting for a flight. Violently ill within an hour, fortunately before boarding the plane.

Tried again while in Westport, Massacheusetts - took burger back as smelt like 10 day old corpse; retard behind the counter put another burger inside the original bun and handed it back to me!!

Last time was at T3. Soggy bun, cold chips. piss poor attitude from the foreigner behind the counter when I took it back to him, said they had to sell the chips they had before they could cook new ones and the buns were only wet from water dripping from the drinks machine! I asked for my money back, they wanted to deduct 50% because I'd taken a bite out of it.

Security were called but I got my money back as one of them had had a problem with the food the day before

So as I said, good riddance.

EDGE

that probably covers it

i only had wendy's a few times at the one in wood green/london, which is the scummist ghetto in the area... and i was fine.... just luck i guess... maybe they had your picture on a clip board behind the counter and gave you thie shite on purpose

Roadkill

Seem to recall visiting one once . . .

Very much like Wimpy - not great, would prefer Burger King any day . . .

Better then MacDeaths, though.

Big Mouse

Ah but Wimpy in its hey day was the best, not that any of you youngun's would remember that I'm talking about the earlys 70's when they had a string of roadside restaurants ala Little Chef. The new Wimpy is just gross.

Proper tasting burgers they were then, no crap on 'em, just burger and onion - and cheese if you wanted something a little more exotic.

No, no chance of me remembering then.

The worst Wimpy I had was in South Africa on out honeymoon.

We were travelling a fair distance to get to a Safari Park.  The journey was taking a lot longer than we had planned, and having held out being hungry for ages, we stopped at the roadside services for a Wimpy.  The burger would be best described as very rare, in a stale bun.  Chips were cold and rubbery.  We both felt quite ill after...

Especially when we discovered that the park was only 5 miles further down the road, and that they had a massive wild game buffet selection, already paid for, that now we didn't want any of.
