Them dubrey, thingumy whatsits.

Bit like an inverted star washer. They push over a stud and the spring/star bits hold it on, and the only way to get them off is to break them.

I've broken them, and need some more, but don't know where to look for them.

Titsy

I had the same problem when I needed on to fix my handbrake pivot.... Will let you know when I remember what they are called and where I got them from...

Roadkill

I've heard them called push/press washers and star washers . . .

I think Titsy found a different name, though.

star washers . . .

I'd go with star washers

Titsy

They not called star washers, I know that for sure, they're not washers, they're fasteners....
I got some from Pollards in Fenny Stratford, was the only place I could find them, and I tried a few...

GM call them sprag clips

I stand corrected

Dam things are a pain in the ass though, can't really see it making much difference if you don't re-fit them

Pollards in Fenny Stratford

Awesome shop

1968 VW T2 Bay Bus (currently being restored and upgraded)
1999 Jeep Cherokee XJ (modern classic daily driver)

Jamieg285

Mmm, google hasn't come up with much for 'sprag clip'.

Looks like these might be a bitch to find.  I'll try the local fastener place in Luton, but might have to try Pollards.
