Project - Paperweight - Now The NEW Coffee Table Project !!!
« on: January 17, 2006, 07:33:18 pm »
Well what else can I call the Engine in the dining room ?

The final stages have begun and the main thing I'm lacking are exhaust "headers".

Leave the details to me, but does anyone know where, cheaply, I can get 8 No. 90 degree elbows bent (about 1 3/8" tube) ?

I'm thinking of getting new header flanges cut and just welding elbows to them to create short, Hot rod style headers.

US Autos have a exaust pipe bender, don't know if it can handle 90 degrees though.

O.K, the "Stand" is now in production . . . . (freebie)

The Header Flanges are also now in production (Laser-cut freebie)

Pulled the Water pump pulley and fan off the Humber to modify for the MoPar (cos they were missing)

Nearly there . . . .

Just need a tyre for the stands' base . .

Apparently, the laser cutting is "Going in" today.

Fast turn-around this one - My supplier is quoting 4-5 weeks lead time, but has done this in 3 days so far.

Also.

I've also added a(nother) air filter adaptor.

Basically a piece of tube to raise the air filter above the Carb fuel rails (which it currently clashes with).

Goddammit !

The Stand was all-done on Thursday but has been sitting in the back of my Guv'nors car since then.

Now his missus has dropped a sprog he won't be in for a least another week.

mild steel

It's getting tacked to the manifold plates, smoothed then sprayed . . . .

It's one of the last things still to do on "Project paperweight".
