14 hour restoration day today, made steady progress but still shed loads to do.
It has occured to be that busting my balls to get it finished by next Sunday, could well be a waste of time if it rains

Got all these bits back onto the bike but wasted about 3 hours trying to get the rear disc brake unlocked after reassembling the rear brake pedal/piston assy

Rear Sub frame is finished, took hours to mask it off and about 10 minutes to paint. Would have taken it off but all the fuel pump and relays etc are bolted to it.

Did I mention it lives in the hall

Roadkill

You've got it alarmed while in your living room hall ?

It's a 1989 Honda Hawk RC31 American Spec imported in 1992, almost identical to the same model year Honda Bros which was a common UK Japanese Grey Import.
It's a 650cc water cooled Vee Twin with chain drive through a sided swinging arm. The exhaust collector box is mounted under the engine so keeps the pipe nice and short
Doesn't set the world alight with just over 50 bhp/ 180kg, but then I'm more likely to keep my driving licence
Although it keeps up with the traffic, the test figures are :

1/4 mile: 12.7 sec @ 102.97 mph (12.89 sec @ 99.87 mph*)
0-60mph: 4.0 sec (3.95 sec*)
Measured top speed: 115 mph
Braking distance from 60 mph: 116' (121'*)

* July 1989 Cycle magazine test
