The Eldo's ar$e-end, of course.

BEFORE : (taken yesterday)

Flexible rubber that surrounds the bumper is now not so flexible.

People genrally mistake this for rust, which irritates me.

MID-WAY : (taken yesterday)

The old crusty rubber was very carefully dug out and a layer of fibreglass layed down to provide the bed for the new rolled pieces of steel (which I made and prepped the day before).
A little 'glass was added to strengthen the ends near the plate as these areas were literally falling to pieces.

The next job is to sand back the 'glass a little and add a smear of filler here and there, sand again and primer . . . . .

Depending how the weather goes I hope to get that done this weekend.

It won't be perfect but it will be a hell of a lot better . . .

Luckily I had some grey primer in the garage (that Sammy brought when I did her mirrors) and it happens to be a fairly close match to the grey of the car.

The steel was free and the fibreglass was old stuff left over from the Duster that's been in my garage for a couple of years.

So.  Net cost : ZERO !

I even did it during work time so was basically paid for doing it !

That's not blue.  It does look darker now it's been T-Cutted, I must admit . . . . But it still looks grey to me.

That would be the block paving then.........

FUBAR

I can't believe we're having this discussion this in depth... but anyway, here's what my PC says about the colour from the verticle boot section in the 1st pic...

Whilst the blue count is high, the saturation is alto quite low, so basically its nestled right in the middle and nobody's right!!!

Well my color meter says that the coloe ryan has selected is the following on the RGB scale

R% 23.2
G%34.1
B%48.7

FUBAR

In the Grey - Blue scale the saturation is less than 50% thats more what I was looking at TBH

Yup, infact i would put money on the fact it was painted with an industrial paint as that doesnt look like auto paint to me
